Saturday, for anyone who is not heading to Moab, the plan for PD3 and I to head out of Breckenridge on Boreas Pass, North on 285, and check out slaughterhouse gulch.

Anyone who wants to do a little trail riding is welcome.

I thought you were stuck in bed, want me to add you back in? I put the link to the Bus Stop in the post.

More trucks on the trail, the more fun we have, the more problems we encounter, added with the weather, will all add to the time. The trail is not very long, so you should be able to make plans at 4pm, or you could always duck out early. :)

I'll probably make it. but 9 am is so early!!! common, I'm in college, I don't make plans before at least 10 on weekends :p you're killing my sleep in time.

but I'm pretty stoked for this trail, hopefully it'll be a good time. As long as everyone has the proper equipment and comes prepared. then even if we have an issue we should be alright.

    *Side note:
Please be prepared for this trail. Please have 32's and some type of traction control (self explanatory.) Skid plates are always a plus.
There are only a few sections of the trail that are "challenging," and those spots do not have a lot of space for parking.

**Also, I am not sure if this could be considered an "Official Coloardao Trail Day" Meet, but I will be running it with my Family/Friends and anyone else that wants to come is more than welcome!

    ----------------
    Added my Cousin.
I wanted to repost this to confirm the confirmed. Six trucks should be perfect for this trail. If anyone is running late, my name is John and my cell # is 72zero-272-222zero. I will check the forums while in the parking lot. We will head out at 9am.

What about Twin Cone on Kenosha Pass? Wanna try that? I would be coming from Littleton but might be up for this. Let me check to see what the haps are for this weekend already.

What area is Twin Cone and Kenosha Pass in? Snow will slow progress dramatically.

Edit: Saw twin cone on Traildamage. Is it passable without a locker?

I did it open/open, but when there was no snow. Word from the wise is, still about 3 weeks+ for the snow pack.

Thats kinda what I was thinking on that trail also. Elevation is 10,500+. I think all together we are going to have a difficult time getting out of the snow.

Bottom part of Twin Cone is private property road that is used year round. So probably no snow there but further up there might be some. Just thought it might be an option since you are coming down 285 and over Kenosha Pass. I just hit up Slaughterhouse couple of weeks ago on the Jeep rescue so was going to steer you in a different direction. Up to you though. There is also the valley that Red Cone starts in. There are two other trails in that valley but I cannot remember their names. There is also that trail up near the summit of Gunella(sp?) Pass but don't know how much of it is covered in snow either.

I will meet up with you guys somewhere though where you want to meet and what do you want to try running? If you want to try Twin Cone on the way down I could meet you at the summit of Kenosha Pass. What time were you going to head out?

Huh? Are you referring to the road up to Twin Cone? I have a good friend who owns a cabin on that road and her brother own two more in the valley. So not really worried about anyone up there.

Boreas pass is nothing but a dirt road. It has a bit of history but its a pretty boring drive. Georgia pass is a whole lot funner. http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=75 but it may still be closed.
