It's definitely a fun bike, especially with the simplicity of a 2 speed rigid. I don't have any action shots, but maybe now that I have the gopro I'll get a couple. If you're in need of another original front shock that needs to be rebuilt let me know. It's just sitting here collecting dust. Just pay shipping and it's yours.

Most of my riding is on the road though.

You know that you can get elastomer or coils for that fork off ebay. I bought some coils for a Manitou 2 that I've had since 1992. Figured it'd last longer than elastomers and shouldn't make much difference since it's only 1.5" travel.

Here's a few other stills I snapped from the gopro video of the bike from the other day. Long live Vertex!

OOOOH GOOOOD, I went out and did a few uphill sprints on the bike a little while ago, and maaaan am I outta shape! :( :) :D

Haha, since school finished last week, I've been bumming around, no free weight work outs, just body weight, and I haven't really hopped on the bike as much as I would like to.

I need to start doing more sprints (is that what they're called) on the bike, and more weighted squats to put some freakin meat on my legs.. haha

Edit: I also tend to do the dumb mistake of wearing boxers on the days that I use the bike. Oh man, sitting down on your own junk is not fun at all. It has happened several times already.

I've yet to read anything bad about them...seems their quality is top notch and well-respected.

I got my 2011 Trek Gary Fisher Collection Wahoo today and man I love it. It's light weight, great brakes, and the paint looks sweet. I just need to start riding it and getting into shape before I take it any where serious. I rode it about a half mile today and already wore out. I have been lazy for to long my goal is to get into shape and one of the tools I'm going to use to get there is my wahoo. Anyone have any advice to help me along?

Camelback, cytomax, helment, gloves, lights for night riding(on trails), ride in foul weather(not lightning), find a girl who LIKES riding to ride with, ride within your limits, ride often, get more bikes, ride more often, learn to maintenance your own bikes & get parts from internet sites like nashbar dot com because bike shops are pricey like car dealerships, have fun, get muddy................

 You really summed that up pretty good.

It's alot more difficult than one would think to find a girl that really likes to mountain bike, or ride a bike period. If I ever do meet a chick like that she'll probably be a hard core biker, and I'll be eating her dust. hahaha
