Hylux diesel

    Anyone every try swapping the siesel motor from a hylux into your taco? it's supposed to be a direct bolt in.....

    Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
    Have to convert the fuel system and electronics? Can the trans handle the torque of the engine? Do you like valve train noise?
    These are some more questions to ask. I'd like to know:)

    It's the newest "green" engine. Just released in a mexico test market.

    881 Front coils, Bilstien 5100's all the way front set to "0" Icon Dynamic's mini leafs in rear, stock tires.

    Wait have you guys heard of this sweet truck called a raptor?? Ford makes it and it's like a factory long travel truck soooo sick!

    Also how big of tires can I fit on a stock truck with no lift?

    This was my daily driver before I got my Tacoma. 1984 Mercedes inline 5 cylinder turbo diesel. I'm going to sell this, but I have an 83' turbo diesel I can pull the motor out of...hmmm. When I bought the Tacoma....I told my wife the only thing that would make me like the truck even more is if they mad a diesel. That's before I knew about this site and the Hilux.
