New to the site, lift and tire advice questions.

I have a 09 double cab trd sport tacoma that I recently purchased. I want to add this lift to it with the spacers and the add a leaf in the rear so I can fit 33's I have searched this site allot and found nothing but good things about toytec and this lift, but as I want to keep my stock wheels to keep costs down, I was wondering what you guys would recommend for a wheel that will work with both this lift and my factory wheels. I have the toytec COs up front with the 700# eibach springs and a add a leaf in the rear. I can fit 285/75/16s comfortably with no rubbing. If you have a little extra cash there is a member here selling a complete 4.5" RCD DB lift for a good price.

 

255/85 R16 BFG KM2 will fit your stock rims.

 

I have the TRD Sport with 17" rims. Kept the stock wheels and went with 285/70R17 KM2s. You will need backspacing for the stock wheel if you want to go that route, but it works with the 3" lift.

 

I am confused, are you saying even with the 3 inch lift I will need backspacing? Thanks.

 

I put in spydertrax (sp?) spacers under the advice of the 4x4 shop to keep the wider tire from rubbing

 

I have the same lift, minus the shocks, I fit 285/65/18s but I'm running afermarket wheels, the stock wheels sit in too far to run much wider than stock. They will rub the Upper control arms. You'll either need spacers like Bird said, or a different wheel that sits out further.
