Opinion on pin stripes.

My bad I think I was searching another thread and this came up, and I thought it was on the newsfeed haha. Wasn't intending on reviving.

 

It's ok man, at this point it's just amusing how often it happens.

 

The pin stripe on mine was a hand painted dealer option. The former owner paid 900.00 for them!!! I have the receipt. I bought it used. I think they look good on my tacoma.

 

I don't even notice mine ..... so apparently they aren't too bad:

 

i hated them. some colors carry them ok but not speedway.

 

I took mine off they day I brought my taco home from the dealer. I hate those things, but I also took all my badges off too because I like that sleeper look!

 

Only one type of pinstriping for me.....west coast bush pinstriping!

My advice do what YOU want to do and don't worry what other people might think.

 

The stripes are okay..I would not have paid extra for them. Maybe the truck looks "less tough" with them?
BUT, come on man! Clean your garage and wax that thing. I bet all of the junk taking up your truck's space is not worth half of the value of the truck itself. The sun, especially where you live, is the worst enemy on a cars finish. Have a rummage sale, pitch stuff, rent a storage unit, whatever! Then give it 3 coats of DP Max wax from Auto Geeks. My buddy has an dark grey Evo IX with a black pinstripe. It looks so bad on his car but he refuses to remove them.

 

Did you save the pin stripes? Would sell them?

 

Pinstripes are like that icky weird guy at the beach wearing a thong!

 

Jonnybb just had rainbow colored pinstripes hand painted by a 65 year old icky guy in a thong on his silver taco.
