    I hear brake fluid works.

When I redid mine, I used a random orbital sander with 200 grit paper. Seriously......

Has anyone had a problem with spotting? Not getting the tint completely covering all areas? First try came out much to dark, so this second try I went a little lighter but it doesn't look right. Any help would be appreciated.

TintedTaillight_e407c591e3121ea931e596e0398b0ddaf4525d9e.jpgJust little ones. Like when I put on a layer of tint is almost looks like water beading instead of a nice even coat. I've made sure it's completely dry and that it was also cleaned with a degreeaser. I'll take some pics right quick of my finished product, and see if you can tell

Petroleum products eat plastic. And before you say "uhhhh, bro... gas cans", gas cans are molded out of High Density Poly-Ethelyne, which does not get broken down by the gasoline. If you're trying to clean the lens, clean it off with windex, and invest in some degreaser and let it air dry. If anything lands on the degreased lens while drying, wipe it off with a clean microfiber rag before spraying your tint.

Tsk Tsk... Felipe! That's why you sould have let me do your tail lights! If you're at Seths mod day, I'll help you try to clean off the old tint/clear coat, and to re-tint them.

Now you just need to shine it up with a nice coat of wax. Use a powered buffer of sorts for better results.

As long as you do it quickly, you shouldn't have a problem. but soaking the lens in gasoline to try and strip off the old tint.... yeah, ya might as well start ordering the new tail lights now.

Gasoline will work. But it's not worth the risk of messing up your lenses. Spend a couple extra dollars on degreaser.

And Felipe... stop breaking your shit!
