    are there any HID projector kits out there that accept an H4 HID buld? i have a kit in my stock housing but would consider a retrofit if i could use my current bulbs and ballasts

    A real projector will not accept a standard bulb... The bulbs have a base that is built just right to fit in the projector. You can buy conversion kits so that you can use your current ballasts, but not the bulbs. If you're serious about doing a retrofit what's another $150 for new bulbs and OEM quality ballasts to do the job right?
