I inherited my tacoma from my grandfather after he passed in 2009. I never intended to mod my tacoma any, but after searching TW for ways to mount my toolbox that all quickly changed. I also had no intention of starting a build thread but after spreading shots around various threads I decided to centralize the progress mainly so I can see the progress and keep my wish list in one place.

    Mods so far:

    • Dog Hair
    • Debadged
    • Fat Bob's Lift
    • URD Short Throw
    • Kumho Road Venture SAT KL61 235/75R15
    • N-Fab D.R.P. Light Cage (040 color matched)
    • Grom Audio iPod adapter
    • MonsterKnobs (black an no #s. if you need numbers to shift, then get out of my seat)
    • OEM Intermittent Wiper
    • OEM Cruise Control
    • Scanguage II w/Blendmount
    • Lowe's Kobalt Toolbox

    In the box waiting

    Mods Wish List:

    • Driving lights for light cage
    • Beefed Skidplate
    • ATO shackle flip kit
    • ATO rear bumper with lower hitch
    • 35% tint all around
    • Total Chaos UCAs
    • Sway-A-Way 2.5" RaceRunner Coilovers
    • Fiberglass Topper
    • Sleeping/Bed Platform
    • Front Mud Flaps
    • Wet Okoles or other bench cover
    • Weathertech Mats
    • AVS In-Channel Ventvisor
    Mods that are being considered:

    • BHLM (but white)
    • Color Matching
      • Grille
      • Tailgate Handle
      • Door Handles
      • Front Bumper
      • Rear Bumper
    • Exhaust
    • Headers

I don't have any before shots, but it's not hard to find a stock super white 5-lug.

Here is a shot a few days after installing the Kumho's

i'm planning on making it unless it happens to be one of the two weekends i am busy in may. going to hilton head with the family and then i have to race back because i am in a wedding. i think that i am going to buy lights first then tint the windows.

i agree, i am going to save here and there while the current tires run their life. once they need to be replaced i hope to have enough for 31x10.5, rims, total chaos UCAs and coilovers.

so i think that i am going to be taking the lift off of my truck. i can't find a good place in town to do the alignment, it frustrating, but i would rather have my new tires last longer and save up for a proper lift using the Total Chaos UCAs.

if they are ever discontinued i will buy at least 2 more full sets. i have no complaints. i would venture to say the perfect tire, at least for me needs.

the only limitation that i found is that they do not do very well in deep mud on an incline. however, i am sure that if i had 4wd then there wouldn't have been an issue.

they are fantastic in the rain and snow. there is an one ramp on my daily commute that when ever it would rain i would have to drive like an old woman or the back end would come out. now i have to actually try... they did great in the snow, not as well as a dedicated snow tire, but i did not want anything else this past winter here in louisville. they can and do still slip in adverse conditions just like any tire would, but they can take more before they slip.

sounds perfect, yea we had quite a bit of snow(Ice) down here a little south of Nashville this past winter and the dunflops were horrible the ass ends was slideing everywhere and my neighborhood is hilley so i need better traction, and even in the rain my stocks suck, its skechey any time its wet. Sounds like i'll be getting these just need to wait till a good deal comes up. Thanks
