    neglect, mostly.
he is right around a year. believe it or not he's a stray so were really not sure. . . Showed up in our yard thrown out less than 3 months old. Vet said he looked full blooded but we've decided since then he's not cause hes started to get a brown tint to his coat in some places. Who cares, hes a great dog!

exact same here! My lab (Murphy) has a white blaze on his chest and paws and has a slightly brown undercoat. I got him at 6 weeks and live in the suburbs, but he runs with me when I exercise and definitely gets more than enough attention!

No.... Who the fuck steals a dog and then dumps it?! I can see stealing it if you want it as a pet, to breed, etc. But why take the time to steal and then get rid of it?

I had a husky/shepard mix walk a few miles toward my new apartment when my fiancee and I split years ago. Got picked up by AC apparently. A lab that young would probably not be doing that. Ours is 6 months old and is still learning to shit only on the papers and outside. And according to other lab owners I have "3 years of stupid" to look forward to. Can't imagine either remembering/finding the way home at that age. So someone grabbed it and dumped it. WTF

Unless he's fixed and they wanted a breeder? :notsure: No good for breeding so they dump him?

I can't believe a puppy would be able to consider to run farther than across the street and MAYBE a few houses down! Murphy is very courageous and curious so, exploring happens, but not 10 miles worth of exploring! Somebody definitely had intentions for your pup and I'm glad he's back in your arms and safe.

@PiercedTiger: My lab is at 10 weeks and he's house trained, leash broken, and is learning his people/other dog fundamentals.. I have had problems with other dogs to where they can't learn for months and are just hard headed. Labs (be-it mine's not purebred..) are relatively easy to train as long as they're on a schedule and you are capable of making "training" time, play time as well.

tomatoes stuffed with mozzarella. then put crushed red pepper, ground peppercorn, garlic, cilantro. broiled to brown the cheese then put balsamic vinaigrette on it. delicious.

next time im going to go without the cilantro and put some chopped bacon in it. i also scooped out the seeds and goo before i stuffed it to keep it from getting all soggy.

rest is steamed broccoli with chicken breast. healthy for the most part; besides my sailor jerry and dr pepper. i am drunk by the way.

he's fixed. they probably either didn't want him barking or nosing around the car while they were screwing or dealing drugs, which is common down there. our best guess is dog fighting. that's actually a pretty big reason for theft in raleigh, even though now im 50 miles away back home for the summer. like i said before, it is a very odd situation. but all we know is we're happy he's back.

EDIT: and as for dumping him, maybe he was just too friendly and they didn't want him. i really don't know though, super strange.
