My uncle has a '95.5 Taco with folding side mirrors. I have an '04 with fixed mirrors. Are these interchangeable? I thought folding mirrors might be nice to have on the trails...

And yes I did a search and couldn't find anything.:p

Not sure about specific interchangability, but they're definitely available. (My '04 has factory folding side mirrors.)

Wow, what the hell? I can't believe I never noticed. I guess my question still stands. '95.5-04 folding vs. fixed mirrors. Interchangeable?:D Are they part of the TRD package or something?

Part of the sr5 package I think. Not sure about all the power components but the mirror itself will fit. You can buy the folding '04 mirrors on ebay or rock auto.

I have the SR5. As long as I can move the mirror manually, I don't care about the power components. Is that doable?

I noticed that the other 2001+ mirrors that I have seen on the road are different than mine. (larger) I figured it was because theirs were power and mine were not. I guess this is explains it. I really want the larger mirrors now that I have the cap on the bed.

mine are foldable and i have the SR5 package...& a family member has an 04 with the SR5 and limited (chrome) deal and hers fold in??? But deff should be interchangable, you aughta be able to find some cheap ones from an 01-04 on ebay and try em out but id be almost certain they would fit!

Just get these if you don't want power. They are the base model mirrors.

god i hate the folding mirrors, they always get bumped and i dont notice they are pointed in some crazy angle till im actually driving. Now u got me curious what the fixed mirrors come on. i have an sr5 with folding mirrors, when did the fixed mirrors even start being used?

How the hell do you consistently bump your folding mirrors to where that's a problem? If it's happening when you're driving, dude you're getting too close. If it's happening when you or someone else is walking near your truck, tell them or have yourself back the hell up, you're too close!

I would know, my garage is somewhat of a tight fit and it comes close to the mirror, but never once have I had the problem of it being bumped to some wonky angle.

Thanks for the replies. I am kinda still curious about the reason my truck has fixed mirrors while others with the SR5 don't.

lol no, i mean in parking lots, while im parked, from people walking into them. Then i dont notice it untill i actually pull into the road.

&mat, thanks for the offer! But i dont hate them enough to take them enough and deal with shipping them. I suppose as an afterthought the folding mirrors are beneficial if somone were to clip the mirros, they wouldnt get taken off.
