Closing doors

I've had my 2011 Access cab Tacoma for a couple of weeks ago. I noticed it took a lot more effort to close the driver side door than the passenger side. I mentioned it to the service rep. he said it was because of the air pressure inside the cab causing resistance to the door closing (like the old VW beetles). I doubted that but tried an sure enough if I crack the passenger side window the door closes normally. The passenger side resists closing if the driver side door is closed tight also.
I don't want to drive around with a window partially opened, has anyone experienced this? Is there some way of venting the cab without having lots of wind noise like when the window is cracked?
Otherwise I'll just have to get used to slamming it!

It is indeed the air pressure. Give it some time, and the seals will break themselves in.

I have never had a real problem with this air pressure, but I have noticed it. Now I don't notice it anymore. And I never SLAM my doors.

 

Man up and close the door with gusto.

 

Either get used to closing the door harder, or you can leave your windows cracked all the time with some WeatherTech wind/rain deflectors.

 

It is the air pressure, I drove a 88 Yota and a couple of hardbody Nissan's and they all did the same thing. Never seen an American truck do this.

 

i never had that problem with my 2007 access cab. but my 2011 double cab does need to be slammed a bit more. sometimes i have to close it twice.

 

x2 on the VW's being airtight. I had one many years ago and when I shut the door, the little door(?) on the 8 track tape player (anyone remember those?) would fly open from the pressure.

 

I've def. noticed this and was wondering if it was a build quality/fit issue. Apparently not. I do feel kind of stupid slamming the door on my brand new truck though.

 

mine did it for like 6 weeks when it was new

 

My GF made fun of me for a good while in my 07 for only closing it far enough for the initial latch to grab hold. I was used to the heavier doors on my F-150 that would shut themselves even on a slight tilt.

 

Never had an issue.

 

Our doors weigh a lot less than domestic car doors (that I've noticed). Whenever someone gets out of my truck they always slam the shit out of the door and they say because it's so light.

 

Check the vent in the picture MJP posted to make sure nothing is blocking it.
My issue is the seatbelt not retracting all the time and getting in between the door and pillar
