    I am the man of steel until it comes to dogs, then I am putty... Read the book when it came out and saw the movie Christmas day. And yes, I cried in the movie, but I had two chicks on each side of me... :D

    haha! i read a review where the reviewer said it was not just a tear jerker, but that it would make a grown man sob. after reading that i was pretty much able to deduce that the dog died. i had no interest in watching it, i can't stand owen wilson.

    Wife and I saw it the Sunday after newyears. I walked out of the theater at about 9:30pm with my glasses on and wouldn't take them off until we were about 1/2 way home. I couldn't care less about most people but dogs are my soft spot. Of course, the worst dog I have ever known was better than most people I'll ever meet.

    Tear-jerker - Yes
    But that's part of the whole package of animal ownership. There's highs and lows and the movie captures them very well. Owen Wilson was very good in the role and I usually can't stand him.

    Almost forgot Jenny was in the movie until this thread...she just kinda fades into the background on this one but damn the recent magazine pics of her are HOT!

    good review... I also thought Owen Wilson did a good job... and I like him as an actor... Jennifer Aniston did a good job as well, but you're right... the story is more about Owen and the dog and the family... (if that makes sense)...

    When I got home that night, I played with my dogs for a couple hours...
