I can't use the Nikon right now...to heavy to hold and can't one arm it, using the wife's point and shoot. Can't wait to get past all this shoulder b.s., getting old. Pushed a stake in the ground the other day and damn near destroyed my bicep for the past 3 days.

I will bring it and the Nikon...might require pain meds and IPA. Oh I told him I would trade a Built Right T-Shirt in XL for 20% off. :D

LS1-T56 swap, Z06 ported heads, cam, Titanium valves, Kevlar clutch. Now building a forged stroker (383) and all the ponies! Old setup was rod-knockin on heaven's door...
I feel your pain, literally, I tore my rotator cuff in the end of Feb and I feel like my bicep and pectoral muscle on my left side is on fire most of the time...gettin old as I work as a heavy line tech and lift heavy shit all the time, is what it is.

Anyway, where are you guys meeting and what time? I just put a locker in my Heep, so I would like to try it out (plus if my Jeep breaks I will need help, lol), I am just concerned cause I am a weather wuss and dont like heat...(insert melting smiley here), going to order some AC at the end of the week, but I dont think I will have it operational until the end of the following week....

I just ordered an ARB front locker as well, but I will still need a compressor, wiring and switches, etc...and I am running bone stock tires (235/75-15) but in Ocotillo I can go pretty much anywhere, I go there all the tiem and I take the Jeep sometines, with the stock tires and open diffs front and rear it still mobs pretty darn well.

I am going to the Gun show in Del Mar on Sat or Sun but the other day if I am not working maybe I will shoot out for some froadin..

Are you guys LT and going to be going like 80 mph through the washes, because I can only go like 60 or so....yeah I know, weak sauce...

This is my second go around with surgery, think Doug cursed me when he said it took two surgeries to get right. I have had torn labrum, torn rotator cuff, impinged bicep tendon and something with the the acromium??? Yeah is all lame.

Not sure where we are going, Eddie was talking last night about wanting to run out thru Plaster City, so if Vi is down we might do that. They are both LT and will probably hauling ass. I'll try to get Vi and Eddie to nail down a time and place...last couple times I just ended up navigating us thru Ocotillo Wells.

Going 60 in a heep isnt weak sauce. That shit is scary, lol.

    So now I'm a curse huh ?? (you may be right...:devil::devil::devil: )

The subachromial impingement is that space between the distanclavical & the shoulder joint. (it all means you had a clearance problem between the 2)..;)

Shooting washes at 60 MPH in a jeep ??:eek::eek: hardly weak sauce, but nutts comes to mind....Where do ya'll want the bodies sent....:eek::Dj/k

I like this quote. Man I wish I could make it. I don't think anyone is doing 80 unless they are a fully caged monster and pulling there truck to the dez on a trailer. Plus Ocotillo wells isn't really the place to do 80 with there being so many people around, just not safe.

San Felipe wash, 3-4 wide 60 +.... been there ,done did that (not without a whole lot of butt cheek squeezing ) Last time to Ocotillo (few weeks back) forget the wash, me & Richard were up around 60 mph & VI was just a dust blip on the horizon,, we figured he was about 70-80 mph but yeah gotta use your head about it

Vi is fast, I can't do over 70 or my truck starts drifting. I think my little truck is too light to take a good bite in the dirt to track straight. Any LT first gens have that issue? I figure once I add 600+ lbs of cage it'll float straighter. You guys do the split mt rd to superstition?

Short wheelbase + stock Jeep + Sand wash at 60= Increased metabolism..., and/or death or injury, I really try to avoid the latter..

The Jeep is a squirly SOB, but you get used to it, or at least I do.

Yeah 1st gens are light in the ass for sure, i would think that just adding some weight (maybe not quite 600 lbs) could help when starting to wander mixed with a heavy dose of acceleration should keep you going straight (or at least forward)

Yeah i had a '68 Kaiser built CJ-5 with a slightly built Buick V6 with some posi Chevy rear end I think, it was squirrlier that a mother fucker, that damned thing demanded all your attention....:eek:
