    Yes i do. Just used a 6" piece of SS with a 3"x"3 rubber coupling attached to the stock intake tube. I also trimmed the snorkel and rubber hose plus ended up trimming the inner fender to get it all to fit with no rubbing or vibrations.

    I dont mean to be captain obvious, but those rubber hoses your using to connect the intake is horrible for friction loss. For one, rubber has a lot more friction loss then metal to start with, and two, those 2 90's are insanely bad. 1 90 degree bend is equal to 10 feet of straight material. So your basically adding 20 feet with those 2 90's. Just a heads up, I would NEVER do that

    It's pretty much how all the tacoma snorkels are connected. The end of the snorkel goes pretty far forward compared to the stock intake box inlet, which sits pretty far back.

    what would you suggest?

    2 45's to start. A 45 will decrease it by a ton. I just wrote a test on airflow last week and man, the #1 thing was about friction loss. Turbulence will also build in the 90.

    Me myself would honeslty get 2 mandrel bent 45's from a shop. Pay if you have to, but in the end its a cheap price to pay for a bit of power/mpg

    So the exhaust pipe I got is actually not that bad eh?

    Now if you only saw the inside of the fender. Those 90 degree angles are really bad and restricting. I wonder if we could just cut that off and come straight in from the outside and therefore having only one 90 and almost a straight line to the filter.

    At Lowe's. It is just a Fernco 4" to 3" rubber connect for pipe. I think Oswego suggested it on the original parts list.

    Thanks! Actually I was considering have a local fab bend me a one piece of 3.5" Aluminum and then get it polish on the inside but now I am thinking about rerouting it by cutting more of the inner fender to line up where the snorkel comes in and then that line would be a 90 degree where it turns into the fender but no more then 15 degree curves to get to the air box. Hmm....

    Did your research also have anything to do with the temp of the air as it flows through the pipe? There has been some debate on cool air to the engine vs warm and how to keep the temp down more through the snorkel. I have a Garmin GPS and an add on called EcoRoute HD which plugs into my OBD II. It allows you to custom set the gauges and watch the intake temp. I have noticed that with the truck running the closest I can get is within 6 degrees of the current outside temp. Just wondering how that affect the air as well.

    No, I just did basic air flow and restrictive characteristics. Pretty cool stuff. I think theres lots of ways to help the flow when you start adding the snorkels. My 2.7 will be sweet because it goes right into the air box by the hole in the fender. Not much fab needed Im hoping

    for sure, CSUViper has a 48 and a 6 inch lift, works fine.

    Edit: unless you want to flip your taco over, then go bigger :D
