Is the tip nice? or just cut off?

 

its the exhaust like normal tubing then there is a tip you put on the tip, looks great IMO

i bought my DT header and catback from URD. It comes with an awesome polished tip that says Dough Thorley - the muffler says Doug Thorley too. U can kinda see it in my build thread i think

 

take a look at my pictures, i have a few of the LCE headers, top notch quality built. Im sure the DTs and LCEs are about the same in performance so its all just personal preference

My mods have mostly been "appearance" mods. A lot of spray paint.

The BHLM is always a very good mod.
Secondary air filter removal.

So intake wise, money not an option, what would you think the best intake to gain any power would be? How many hp? 2? 3?

 

A loss on the low end power and 3 to 4 at redline. Nothing good since the factory is alreadu a CAI

Aftermarket intakes have a larger tubing diameter which takes away from the low end power which in my opinion is the only power that matters since no one ever drive to redline all day long. Also almost every aftermarket CAI has the filter in the engine bay with either no or really shitty secluded areas. How can you have a CaI that draws hot air from a hot engine bay?

 

i did the secondary air fliter mod and threw a delta 40 flo on. sounds awesome, but no noticable gains.

 

Best mod? URD Supercharger.

 

Even with all the money in the world, the best intake "upgrades" you could do would be to remove the inner fender baffle, the secondary filter, and install a drop in "performance" filter.

Get headers and a cat back then call URD about the MAF. I don't think there is a lot of info on the MAF for the 2TR.


Also, you may as well just get a Magnaflo muffler and have a shop weld up your cat back. I can snap some pics of what my muffler looks like after two years. I wouldn't be happy if I spent a couple hundred on a "performance" cat back, just to have it look so beat up.

 

Im thinking just to wait for my AFE prodry to get here, buy the DT header in the group buy, then buy the DT cat back now.
