blinkers for off road bumper...

I want to remove the black plastic half of my front bumper and I need ideals on what to do with the blinker?
I read the mod on installing the blinker in the side marker lamp, but I really don't like this.
I seen the blinkers for motorcycles on Amazon for $15 and of course the trailer lights at the auto store. Has anyone come out with a good blinker set up like one they pulled off of a Eagle Talon from the junkyard and something crazy like that?

 

I bought a set of cheapo fog lights. Drilled the backs out and fitted them with the original blinker socket. 1/4 turn to replace the bulb. Might be in my build thread.

I bought two led strips and ran them under the headlights.

 

Alot of people just re located the blinkers into the corner marker lights.

 

Got pics of that? I think I like that idea.

Did you have any issues in regards to the blinker being LED and the wiring for the truck set up for amber lights?

 

What do you mean? Not really. All i did is hide the stock wiring with bulb and tapped into the positive and negative and connected and done.

No problems at all. Just made sure i got 12v 24 Led strip and good to go.

 

Anthony left the original bulbs in the circuit so he doesn't have the "hyperblink" issue that happens when only LEDs are used.

To avoid the hyperblink add a resistor for each side if you eliminate the original bulbs altogether. If you leave them in it is essentially the same result as when resistors are added to the circuit.

I just modded wiring and the corner marker lights with a dual element bulb to function as the turn signals on my GF's '03 when I put the bumper on.
Not that hard really.

 

Yeah, for some reason I'm just not crazy about it. don't know for sure why that is, just not too appealing. Then again I'm not very creative. Hoping to see some really cool tricks that I haven't thought of.

 

I agree. At first I was reluctant, but after all said and done, I'm glad I did what I did. Looks as clean as from the factory on the outside of the truck since theres no aftermarket stuff just thrown on.
