Maybe 6:30 actually. I think it takes 45 minutes to get to the pie factory from there? Maybe less.

 

san clemente is about 35 miles south taking the 405 to the 5

Is CB required?

 

I've decided to pass on the Ocotillo meet. The national weather service has upgraded from a high wind watch to a high wind warnings from Friday midnight to 6pm Sunday (gusts of up to 40-60 mph in some places). I've driven through those areas on a bike in high winds before and it's some scary sh*t. I'll see you guys at the next one.

 

Yeah i saw the wind advisory but it wont be bad at all in ocotillo i could be wrong im not the weather man lol Derek cb's are not required i will have walkie talkies to communicate as well.

I don't think wind will be too bad at Ocotillo either.

 

They're Santa Anna winds. It might be windy there but it won't be as bad as in the passes. Getting there and back is the problem for me. I've been through Santa Ysabel and Alpine when the wind kicks up. It's real gusty so you're constantly making corrections plus you're leaned waaaayyy over. My bike is fairly light for street riding so it'll get blown all over the road. It's something I'd rather not deal with. Watch the trucks in front of you so you know when they hit a strong gust. It'll allow you to be prepared.
