Situation: Just completed a install of billy 5100s all the way around with the front set at 1.75" and a 1.5" AAL in the rear. My alignment is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

Concern: Since the install, I've noticed that there is only about a finger-widths worth of clearance between the upper inside edge of the tire's sidewall to the knuckle that sticks out from the front a-arms (I think that's there name? The main piece connecting the uca to the wheel hub.)

Question: Is there enough room to align my front end? It almost seems I will need some spidertrax wheel spacers to obtain enough clearance to get it done? Is this the case??

What are your thoughts?? If I do need spacers, are they still on backorder? If not, any good deals for ordering them?

What size tires are you running and are you on stock wheels or aftermarket?

I think you should be fine. I have limited clearance in relation to the UCA with my stock rims and tires.

Will be running 265/75/16... went this route because i thought i had done my research to make sure everything would fit with an alignment.

You should be fine. The distance between the tire edge and the UCA wont change. Ive seen clearance less than an 1/8" and its been fine.

Yes that size should fit fine on the stock rims even on stock suspension. Issues arise with that size when aftermarket rims are used and they have the wrong backspacing.

A good reputable shop should have no issues getting you alignment into factory specs. It probably won't be exactly the same as stock because the suspension is modified but you should be good to go.

Thanks for the advice. I'm having the alignment done at Les Schwab. Has everyone had a good experience with them??

Also, does anybody have an example of what the specs should be considering the front end does have the billys set at 1.75"??

You wont have a problem at 1.75". Mine is set at 2.5" and its not totally within spec but very close.
