Hockey Trash Talk & BS thread

Do you feel Winnipeg will have the same fate? It seems like there's always rumors about Edmonton throwing tons of cash at players but no one ever goes there. I don't know why anyone will think Peg will be any different.

 

To be honest this is Hockey trash talk so I was having fun with the Oilers faithful. I'm sure lots of players wont want to play in the Peg as well. Its only ever the pre madonnas that have this attitude. These types of players may have lots of skill but always lack the heart to get er done. Your making millions of fucking dollars people go somewhere nice in the off season and train. They should just be happy to be playing the BEST sport ever for a living.

 

Yet I was in Anaheim (D-land) this fall and was impressed by how much hockey was there. I expected there to be nothing outside of Honda Center.
I live 4 hrs. east of Vancouver and I could fly to Anaheim and see a NHL game cheaper than driving to Vancouver to see my Canucks! I took my family of 5, we sat in the nosebleeds, had popcorn & drinks for under $100!!! My 11yo son was more impressed with the game and Hockey Giant than he was with Disneyland!

 

That is insane! It costs more than that to take my family of five to a Junior game in Saskatoon. I go to Calgary and Edmonton every year with buddies to see Flames vs Oilers and you get Raped if you want even a decent seat.

 

Get the brooms out.

 

The Pens played at Vancouver last winter about 6 weeks before the Olympics. I really wanted to go up there, ski and see the city. On stubhub the tiks were like $200 for crap seats. It was ridiculous how much some of the seats were going for. I still want to make a trip up there sometime.

Fuck Eager. He has done nothing. I really hate watching the "tough guys" like heatley and eager try to play rough but don't do anything productive. Marleau earned respect from me tonight. He is not physical but didn't back down from Bieksa. I just wish the rest of the team grew some balls and played right. Hopefully the Sharks can get at least 2 wins then they can lose I want my money.

On a side note go Boston.

The Caps had a Swedish player, Bengt Gustafsson, who was not known for his fighting. The Pens were in town and Mario Lemieux picked a fight with Bengt. Mario went into the dressing room and never finished the game. Unfortunately it was the only time the Pens were in town that year so I only got to see Mario for 1 period of play.

 

You say that alot. Are you Brian Burke's son?
