Just installed my new 17" sport rims, and after not finding enough info on them here, I figured I would make a post about the difference.
    -
Look: The sport rims are a least 60 000 times better looking then the Offroad ones.
    case and point
    16's
    [IMG]
    17's
    [IMG]
-Driving: As expected, I do notice a tad bit of takeoff power I lost probably because of the larger, heavier rim/tire. Its not a lot, but I THINK I notice it anyways
-MPG: I thought the 17's would be much worse, but stupid me, I was wrong. It must be the tires that were shit hole, or something, but the the 265/65/17's keep momentum about 25% better then the 245/75/16's.
New 17 tires are BRIDGESTONE DUELER's, and the old 16 were DUPLOP AV20 or something. But theres a good .75-1.25 mpg difference I would say with the less reduced gliding
-The truck also all around feels, drives, and corners alot better and Im super pumped about swapping them

it does look better! only downfall is that when you get bigger rims, the cost of tires goes up atleast with 33s and above not sure about the 265s haha looks awesome!

Ya but when I buy others, Im getting 265/70/17, and they are a dime a dozen because they are used on Gm trucks alot out here. So its golden

Let us know if your MPG goes up any, always wondered if the 17" would do better than the 16"

BTW it does look better and try adding a scooped hood and it will really stand out :)

No way! The Off Road wheels are some of the best looking stock wheels! Just my .02!

I personally like the off road wheels more especially with a beefier tire on them, just makes the truck look alot more beefy the 17's are more for show or if you just drive streets. Whatever fits your driving is the best imo.

Well, stock is what it is and the 17" wheel does bring the truck up a bit. I would pass on any Taco stock wheels, and IMHO the optional TX TRD wheels look pretty good and the anthracite FJ wheels look awesome. To each his own.

Still like the 16's but I just love the sport rims for some reason. Next year when ii lift the truck I will get others (I think I want 16" KMC enduro's) but for the street driving and 2% offroad/trail these are my favorite
    !

I love the beadlocker wheels the best.

Especially the black ones that come on the TX packages.
