CV Angle help?

Ok guys, so i installed my Toytec ULK a few weeks ago, put 200 miles on it to settle it before i get my wheels and tires put on and alignment done...
The Toytec coilovers come pre-set at 2.5 if im not mistaken, and i want to go up to 3" because i have the 1.5 AAL and Leaf TSB, and the rake is just to much... i looked under last week and the CV boots already have a mark on them where the 'fins' are rubbing one another... If im not mistaken, going to 3" will make this worse.. i did not install the diff drop yet, and am wondering, 'should i?' or 'shouldnt i'... ive read lots of posts saying yes do it and no dont do it..
So im wondering.. what should i do?!
Diff drop? or no Diff drop?
Or what other options do i have?

Any input is greatly appreciated!

I'll be doing this within the next few days, I've got a torn CV boot on drivers side.

Got the diff drop kit & coil overs from TOYTEC this week, then ordered the steering bushing kit this morning.

The whole "pre assembled" at 2.5" is a crock of shit. Toytec just throws them together and calls it a day. The coilovers I got from them for my wifes 4runner were allegedly preset to 2.5." After installing, test driving, mobbing around and settling I measured....6 inches. Yes, 6 fucking inches of lift. I don't really think they do any real measurments. It's just a best guess

Hopefully you took a before measurement of your actual hub to fender height and adjusted them based on that and not the "preset" height.

As for your AAL, throw some crap in the back of your truck and drive it around. The old AAL i had didn't settle for a month. Hell it didn't settle until i drove around with 4 wheels/tires in the bed for a week. One I did that the AAL flattend out nice and put the almost truck dead on level with the fronts at 3".

As for the diff drop, you'll continue to get yes and no reply's about it. Some people will swear by it, some won't. It came with your kit and it's only two bolts. Try it out. If you don't like it, put it back. My CV's in my 1st gen Tacoma hate me, but I hate em back. Works out well. The fins have ALMOST worn all the way through the boot. I don't much care cause axles are easy to swap.

Yeah i did take a measurement before, i just figured id let it settle before taking another

Lol 6 inches from the the toytec C/O's? I would love to been able to see that . I bet your angles looked like this / \.

x2 I had a diff drop on my 06 and it worked as advertised with my 3 inch lift. I ran the lift for over 2, and never had any cv issues. Just spend the 30 bucks and don't look back it.
