no, the old in cali do not like to use the AC because most are poor. they dont realize it goes from 70 to 100 in 2 days and they dehydrate and die and their house is usually 80-85 inside

i guess a california fire could cover more ground because there arent a lot of lakes for water bombers to pick up at and its probably drier there. but the forest is so thick up in those areas it doesnt lake long to spread from tree to tree.

Anybody have a picture of a commercial communications closet with at least a few hundred lines that was built in the 60s or 70s and maybe last rewired in the late 80s? I'm interested in the proper way to do it, with media cabinets and whatnot.

They actually figure that half the ones up close here were started but irresponsible campers and people on Quads. Especially soup'd up quad with really hot exhaust have been known to start fires.

VERY thick trees with a lot of fast burning spruce trees, those things light up damn fast

Nah...I didn't wire it. I've seen much better and much worse 'round here. I was just curious what a 'proper' comms closet might look like.

Residential basement, I assume? Those are a nice pieces of kit. Never seen anyone use them commercially though. Most of the comms closets I deal with are literally closets for that purpose. No one ever goes in them other than to deal with phone/internet.
