It is a huge deal in the US. When I had my accident with an uninsured motorist, I reported them to Dallas PD. Dumbass gave me all his info so I wouldn't call the cops. I did it anyway when I found out he didn't have insurance. Just handed the cops his ID and his plate number cause he ran as soon as he heard sirens.

I don't think it's illegal everywhere. Depends on the state.

Btw did the cops determine who's fault it is? Depending on ur states laws, if it is her fault u may be able to sue the insurance company of someone she lives with that has car insurance like her parents. I think in Florida u can do that. R u injured? Whip lash? Might want to look into an attorney

Sorry to hear that! I hope everything gets squared away and taken care of rightfully.

Man, I swear there are more bad drivers out right now then ever before, atleast here in Washington State. It's absolutely, ridiculously, mind blowing.

That sucks. I'm just curious though how she could both pull out in front of you and slam in to the front of your truck? You mean she pulled out in front of you so you didn't have time to not slam into her?
Hope it works out for you.

That Sucks! Glad you're OK! I got rear-ended by a nigerian doing 40 mph that had no insurance. My old VW Jetta took the hit and I was OK. Cops came, he got a ticket. In maryland insurance is required but I am also required to carry uninsured coverage, so I am covering my ass and the uninsured drivers ass. If you have an injury you should speak with an attorney, if not it may not be worth your time or $$ considering the UM deductible is probably only $250. You may want to ask if your rates will go up though. If she takes the ticket to court make sure you go so she does not get off.

Edit: almost forgot......Today the world is going to end so don't worry about it ;>)

Damn, hopefully you're covered. Same thing happened to my friend but he has uninsured motorist coverage so he's all set. Girls are the worst drivers, they're always on the phone or looking at themselves in the mirror & never paying attention to driving. And if they are paying attention, they're driving like Danica Patrick. Good luck.
