What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I'm pretty sure 01-04 have clips behind the actual fender flare in the bedside.

Just ordered a skid plate from skid row!

 

Can't wait to see how this turns out and very curious on how much it helps the mpg.

 

Did my rack bushing and found a rust blister under the passenger bushing guess who needs a new rack!

I dont know why people say the bushing are tough to get out. The worst part was torching my bud built off. Counter sunk socket head bolts that accept an allen wrench are good "in theory". 6 months in new england winter even with gobs of antiseize, Still stripped them both out.
A big C Clamp pressed all of the bushings out (and back in) in 5 mins.

if its the same as mine you just pull 5 or 6 bolts and the flair falls off. instalation is the same just in reverse

 

The dealer calls em skidplates but they're quite thin and are mounted fairly high on the bumper. They cost around 100$ depending on where ya find one, ordered one last year for my uncles truck forget what the site was though.

 

bedliner cuz duplicolor wont fade and its crazy durable, wont scratch, and i saw a pic of one with it and fell in love. will post pics when done

Decided to use my $250 Toyota credit on some accessories. Bought new bed mat for $70, weatherTech floor mats for $100, Aluminum Tacoma hitch cover $40 and front window shade for $25. Ended up being $245.

Next week will be installing a 3" level lift and 1.25" All Pro wheel spacers.
Then next month should be Brute Force weld-on sliders.

Yes you are right I just attempted and a bitch to get off. I put back on what i took off and gave up. I already purchased 4 cans of the duplicolor aerosol bed liner so tomorrow I'll just tape off the truck and apply it with flares attached.

 

Anyone ever looked into these bumpers or know anyone who has one? They look like a knock off ARB but for almost half the cost!
