    I took my 2010 TRD in for its 15k service today and one of the salesman is trying to talk me into trading it in for the new 2011 TRD TX Pro. Does anyone have one? If so, what's the difference between the two?

    16 inch trd wheels, trd exhaust, different bed decals, crappy bfg rugged trail tires and black tube steps.

    BTW do these trucks actually differ in VIN's? Anyone can add these mods.

    Yeah I mean for resale value it's best not to mod. But can you buy all these mods and sell it as a tx pro? Does the VIN say its different from any other trd off road?

    I'm sure if you were evil enough you could build the tx pro yourself, then get sockmonkey to print out some TX badges for it. Then sell privately. Nobody would question you.

    I'm sure you can get them from toyota if you know someone with a tx pro. I'm not trying to rip anyone off just curious why anyone would buy a tx pro.

    I would pay extra for the wheels but as an add on not the whole package.

    Wheels = sick
    Exhaust = sick
    TX PRO = no stupid tube steps, sick

    TX PRO Package = sick

    Of course you can add everything separately, but then how would my salesman's daughter make it to college?

    I was looking at a TRD Offroad before I got my T|X Pro and started pricing out the wheels and the full exhaust if I was to buy the wheels and the exhaust it would of cost more than the T|X Pro Cost. trdcarhendge1001_b109862c735a4e91987411edfe004d79750123ab.jpg

    what is in the background of that picture?????

    and on topic,theres no sense in trading in your already new truck for an even newer truck, don't be one of those people. If you like the trd beadlocks, get 'em, if you like the trd exhaust, get it too. That package would be good if you didn't already have a 2010 trd.

    I was making a point. And as another poster just suggested, the package is actually a good deal if you happen to want those features. And why wouldn't you, they're badass?

    the trd sport is way better looking in my opinion ............... just look at it this way with the tx you get a base model looking truck with small wheels and a crap ass graphic nothing about the apperance of the truck even whispers tough.......... the whole package is a waste of money!

    Disagree. The tires suck balls, I'll give you that. But the wheels are as good looking as they get (IMO), plus they're 16" (which I wanted). The graphic is the graphic, nothing more. Easy to take off, easy to change, whatever... The exhaust system is something I would have wanted anyway. So for me, I got the wheels I wanted (otherwise I would have had to paint either the stock TRD sport or OR wheels black, or buy new ones altogether) AND got the sweet exhaust system.

    The TRD Sport doesn't have the rear lock diff, and it comes with the scoop hood which I think looks bad, especially because it has no functional value.

    Wheels + Exhaust made the package worth it for me. Not to mention I got a sweet deal. I probably wouldn't have ordered the TX Pro package, rather looked to add the accessories later, but mine was looking all sexy on the show room floor, and the deal I got made it worth it.

    *Edit* To be fair, nothing much about any "stock" Tacoma from a dealer really whispers tough, it's all in the steez you add to them later
