After reading these responses I realize how many directionally challenged people there are. Especially how reliant people have become on GPS units.

Good technology is Good. I travel a lot in the mountains of Western North Carolina and many people have no postal address. They literally give you GPS coordinates to find their house.....or cabin. Good is Good.

I don't disagree with you, I use GPS sometimes but I usually don't need it to return home. I just follow the inverse of same route I took to get there. I suppose I just have a good memory. It usually only takes me 1 time of traveling a route to remember it. My sister on the other hand...HA! she needs GPS to just find her car in a parking lot.

This. I would consider myself very directionally adept. Obviously, in city/urban situations I have no problem figuring out where I am and how I got there...I couldn't tell you the street names, but I could drive it again with no problems. Rural & overland navigation gets me sometimes, but I try to pay very close attention to where I've been and changes in direction.

One of my friends is the same as your sister though - couldn't read a map to his car in his own driveway.

Yes. That's a picture I had done on my motorcycle for a calendar we did to sell and donate the proceeds to charity.

Sure, I'll get right to it. ;)

"Excuse me Mr. Car Toys Salesman, can you take a picture of this head unit with my grossly inadequate rack?"

 << Haha! this is funny because this smiley didn't look like "pray" to me, it looks like a nut sack hanging out of its mouth. Excuse me while I shovel my mind out of the gutter.
