    ok... it's official...

    im no longer waving or giving deuces to other lifted tacomas...

    everybody looks at me like im crazy...

    i was running errands in La Canada this afternoon, and passed up a SWB dcab with some kinda baja bumper, possibly color matched glass fenders, and some kinda lift... assumed it was LT cuz of the bumper...

    threw him a peace sign but all i got was a blank stare...

    from now on, every tacoma i see, im gonna stare them down...

    im DONE being mister nice guy...

    i never wave at other taco ppl anymore, most i ever do is give them a flash or strobe them when i pass them. However, everytime im in lucerne, everyone in an LT gives me the peace sign, no matter what make or model and i give it to them back.

    there's been a silver one just like that one rolling around my neighborhood with some old dude driving it except no lift, but has the bumper..i got the same thing from him

    I was gonna post a thread asking about this. Coming from a Jeep Wrangler in the East (many years ago) we would all throw up a peace sign. Moving West, everyone had one so you couldn't keep up. Just made my first road trip in the Taco, and rarely anyone in CA says "hey" (aside from a white lifted yesterday near LAX) but a majority of pickups (regardless of make) throughout TX, OK, KS, and NE would ALWAYS wave. WTF is the etiquette here?? :confused:

    you don't make eye contact unless you ready to throw down cuz...

    but yah, aside from TW, other taco owners are snobby... sad to say, i rock TTORA stickers on my truck and i get the snub from other trucks with TTORA stickers... i get a stare down as they eye my truck up and down, but never a wave or a nod... sooooooooooo strange...

    but, have an LT Ford Ranger cross my path, and it's a totally friendly greeting...

    although, i do gotta say, i tend to get the snub more from 2nd gen tacos...

    one in particular came speeding up behind me on the 210w in Monrovia... i was in the slow lane cruising, and they were in the carpool lane... dark colored 2nd gen dcab, full LT... swoops into the lane behind me, then pulls up alongside me, eyeing my truck... i give them a peace sign, they don't acknowledge me, then bolt off back into the carpool lane and speed away...

    oh well...

    I'd wave if I paid attention :wave:.

    I was in Big Bear one time and this Tacoma came up to me and asked if I was on TW. I said yeah and they said they had seen my truck on here before. Made my day! So I try to wave when I can but I'm not the best at looking around for other tacomas.
