Hello, today i got my truck some new tires, thank you very much :D...

The down side is that the tire shop didnt wanted to do the alignment, because when they inspected the suspension they told me my tie rods are damaged or worn and the alignment wont be done propperly unless they changed them. I told them i would ask for more opinions before repairing...

The truck has only around 25k miles on it, and 3 yrs old, is this a common problem? how can I know if they are actually worn out? They called me into the shop while the truck was on the lift and told me to hold the rod while they shackled the front wheels, it felt like a lil bump every time they did the movement.

    Any input would be appreciated.

I cant see them being worn out that soon. It wouldbe covered under the powertrain warranty though.

Grab them, and see if they are loose, or there is sloppy play in them.

When i got called in the shop i grabbed them while they shaked the tires, i definitely felt a lil bump there....

I can think a number of reasons why they might be shut, the streets down here i dont have to tell you are not the best... we have a lot of bump stops and personally i dont come to a complete stop always....

What concerns me is that they replaced my steering rack a year ago, and they didn't notice the rods where shot?

Anyways tomorrow the truck is going to the stealership for an oil change, ill what i can do there...
