1995 tacoma 2.7 head gasket

I bought a 1995 tacoma 2.7 and the previous owner apperently replaced the head gasket on it, but did not torked the bolds or sets the timing marks correctly. After messing with it I fanally got it to start, but its rought and it makes pressure on the radiator and radiator hoses. The engine sounds like its hard to turn. I am thinking of removing the head again and replacing the gasket again the right way. I am just worry about the timing marks because they have been moved already and may not be set correctly on it. Can Anyone provide instructions and correct timing marks for timing chain and distributor. I will greatly appreciate your help.

 

It might be timed correctly. There is a variable valve timing on that engine that stumped my mechanic when he changed mine. That might be what is wrong with it. It will run, but run like crap. There is a mark on the gear that drives the camshaft. I cannot remember but if I find the instructions I will let you know.

yea they are hard to time.if they are even a little off they will run but run real rough.take it off and do it again is what id do

 

Take the whole head off or the distributor?
