Why wouldnt you want an intercooler? That just puts a million times more stress on the motor
If your worried about size just buy a small one yourself. Theres 10 000 different sizes

    Yes, we have some news.

Got a tad behind schedule, but really working hard to get back on track.

A few little things had to get redone, but all is well now.

Just got back from a short test drive UNDER BOOST. Runs well, very smooth, no drivability issues so far.

Going back out in a little while and do some tuning. If all that goes well, I will start upping the boost.

    Varrooommmm, PSHTttttt.

lol ya Im just wondering if its gonna be something that the motor will be able to take for a good 300 000+ kms and not strain it. I hope theres also an option to run around 200 hp. Thats plenty IMO. With some bolt ons that shouldnt take TOO much PSI I hope

I know your still in the tuning process, but from your initial drive do you think us guys with 4.56 gears are going to suffer?

Dude that built his own turbo ran like 6.5lbs of boost and hit like 235whp. I don't remember the exact numbers, you tube it. My point is we should see a generous power increase from 6.5lbs and up. NOT to mention the off idle torque increase. Damn this is torquey enough as it is.

Disagree with it being torquey enough stock when you slap enough crap on an already-heavy 4x4!

totally quoted the wrong comment on that last post. it was pretty torquey with the 4.10's. 4.56 is great though man. No problems skooting from a stop.

    Well, what can I say.

It runs much better with boost.

It can actually get out of its own way now. Drives very nice. Very smooth.

It is going to need to a fuel pump upgrade for sure. I was hoping we could skip that, but it does need it. The fuel pressure nose dives in the upper RPMs. I really wish I would of figured that out BEFORE I filled the tank....
