Im looking at getting a Tundra so i can tow a big enough trailor to move all of my belongings across country. Before i trade it in im looking at selling a brush guard, LEER truck cap, and my JL audio Stealthbox. Anyone interested in anything please let me know. would love for someone on here to get rather than a dealership.

Sorry was working last night. I've got prices on what i'm looking to get for the parts.

Brush guard: $250...with off road lights-$300.
SOLD-LEER truck cap (black) with pet screens- $500
    JL Audio STEALTHBOX: $550
    TRD Exhaust- $350

why trade it in? Won't you get a lot more by selling it?

Why not just rent a Uhaul, Budget, or Penske Box truck and tow your truck across country if that's all you'll need it for.

Yeah...gotta agree with these guys...for one trip across...I think you'd come out ahead going the rental truck route...gas isn't getting any cheaper, and probably won't anytime soon. Tacoma's hold their value...but you're gonna lose something trading or selling an '09. FWIW

EDIT: Taking into account your list of mods...no way you won't lose money trading or selling...IMHO.

I applied for a lot of jobs across the country and was looking at towing my tacoma with a UHAUL. Very inexpensive and you're gonna save more money than trying to trade it in. Plus youre not gonna get what you want for the truck if you are in a hurry to get the Tundra and move.

im going to need to move 6000lb-7000lb two times in a 6 month time period 2000 mi each way. and to rent a Uhaul is around $1500 each time. if i get a uhaul i would have to pay for my good to be stored for the 5-6 months at $75 a month. so im just looking at it as investing it in a truck and trailer and not just giving uhaul money

You'll lose more on trade-in than uhaul and storage together, plus the added cost of new Tundra and less fuel mileage. If your only going x-country for a short time than I'd go storage and keep the Tacoma vs Big hit to wallet.

Why are you having to do all the moving yourself? You getting out of the military?
