    Hey Susan, I ended up getting bifocals. The people in the office told me I would have trouble driving with the progressive lenses, something about not being able to focus on the side view mirrors when I needed to. New glasses will be ready next week:woot:

    I have no issues with progressive lenses and driving. The only time I notice is when I take a drink from a soda or bottled water then a roadsign will be out of focus.

    I like my progressive lenses.

    I do not know why your optician would steer you away from progressive lenses. I have no issues with side view mirrors.

    Why would you have trouble driving with them? I drive with them every time I get behind the wheel. I have no issues - just tilt your head until what you are looking at is clear...

    Took forever for me to learn to read with the stupid things, but once I forced myself to use them, it didn't take long :anonymous: :eek: I do like them now.

    I'll let you know how the bifocals work next week when they come in. They said I would notice a big difference driving at night, I hope so.
