I want really good sound quality that is my limited budget. :D I will be searching for different ideas. can you guys post pics of your tacomas with sound systems in my price range?

Toytec ultimate lift kit, light racing UCAs, ARB bumper and full skid plates underneath. Looking into redoing the suspension and maybe repainting the ol' Taco.
You know, the biggest variable to start with will be in the HU. You can spend $100 on a cheap one, or you can spend all $2k on a bad ass one with Navi and more.

My HU cost me $475 all in (with shipping and installation accessories).

wow man under 2K you can get a sweet ass system...

    I got:
    Alpine 9884 -$160
    JL Audio 650 CSI 6.5"s -$160
Pioneer Shalow Mount 10 Sub -$100
    Alpine MPF600 -$350

I wish I had pics but Im still in the process of getting everything in the mail and installing it... Ill post it when Im done.

And thats a good system on a much smaller budget.

You can easily get something like:

Double Din Pioneer HU : $350
    Pioneer 6.5"s mids: $250
    2 Subs $200
    Alpine PDX Amp $500

Say about $300 at most for the box and youre still well under your $2K budget brother. And thats good ass quality stuff too. Give Marv a call, he is a WORLD OF HELP. Good Recomendations within your budget and style. Hope this helps...

Go to crutchfield.com they have a ton of info and the prices are pretty good with free shipping after you spend a certain amount(like $100).

crutchfield is far from the cheapest place to purchase equipment, even with free shipping. But they do offer some great customer service and you typically know what will fit and what you will need as far as installation accessories, which is very helpful. You are paying for that support, but it is worth it IMO. They are also very good about returns, which many other online retailers and brick and mortar stores aren't.
