    To me they don't I have owned around 5 Gerber knives so far, never had any problems with them, except the two I lost :mad:
    Plus Gerbers custom service is very good IMO.

    I used to work for Gerber in the shipping/receiving department from 2003 - 2006 and unless they changed how they manufactured their products all Gerber products are made in USA. Not sure where they get the material but I know it's assembled here in Oregon. My aunt still works in their production line and my brother, along with a few friends/cousins, used to work there as well. IIRC the only imported gear that I saw from the warehouse is the Winchesters that gets shipped in from China in the containers (I used to have to empty those nasty smelling container freights).

    Oh and it's 100% lifetime warranty so if you break a blade or w/e contact them and make sure you still have receipt :)
