Well day 2 of looking wasnt bad...found a place in Beaverton and checking Oregon City tomorrow. We were down there this evening at Verdict having dinner and saw a silver 2nd Gen with King rear shocks.

So far I realize that a lot of the places I liked or thought I would like in Portland are either expensive or seedy. Eh, burbs.

Yes I know you can do it. It just seems a large chunk of LT guys want a pre-runner so no 4x4. Fact is I don't have the dough, so the FJ remains how it is. I'm still not sure how they got the alignment right with a spacer lift and stock UCA's but I'm not going to mess with it. :p

...you don't find that hairy chest sexy?

Where will work be based out of?

Hahaha spacer lift and stock UCA's..is that what you got right now? My truck came like that when I first bought it..steering was so wobbly!! Over bumps..on the highway..you name it.

I personally think LT 4x4 is the way to go unless if you're one of those guys who bash their trucks on rocks and don't care.

Yeah that's what I got. The combination of that and my 33X12.50's makes it grab and pull in random directions on crappy roads. 99% of my driving I never exceed 45 mph so I'm not too concerned for now. Once I pay off the 4Runner engine I might invest in some UCAs and install my 5100's. I would really like to correct the way it drives.

Love the PNW, wanted to say hi. I'm hopefully going to have my King coilovers, TC UCA's and Icon AAL/bilstein 5100's installed this weekend. Got my relentless rear bumper installed last week, so I'm making progress with the truck.

I dial Oahu's 4wheelparts store and give them a part number for a receiver mount tow ring --> http://www.4wheelparts.com/Towing/T...ing.aspx?t_c=67&t_s=111&t_pt=9395&t_pl=102456

The guy at the store tells me he has some in stock and they are $46.99. I then log into 4wheelparts.com and find that they are only listed as $26.99. So I call the 1800 number and place my order there and tell them that the store I want to pick up my part (free shipping to their store locations BTW) is charging 46.99 for the same part number. He takes my credit card info down and charges me the 26 bucks for the part and tells me I can go into the store any time i want and give them my invoice number to pick up the part. So I drive the 25 miles there and sure enough they won't give me the part. I have to wait for the next "freight shipment"... As he's telling me this the damn part I want is sitting right next to him on the wall with two other spares next to it. THE PART NUMBER IS THE EXACT SAME... So I ask him why I can't have the ones in stock. "Because we don't have to sell those to you" "We loose money when you purchase online so your going to have to wait sir for the shipment in two weeks" At that time I thought to myself FUCK YOU! and well i'm waiting two weeks for my damn part. Oh and not to mention I don't have access to a setup to balance my own tires. I purchased my MT's through the same store about a year ago and I have had to get them balanced three times until they got it right. The second two balances weren't free. So I have to say im 100% done with those fuckers:eek:

Definitely bull shit. I would have demanded they give me the part or called the 800 number right in front of him and asked them what to tell the guy. They really sell those that often that they're worried about you taking one of them at a lower price when they could make the extra money off a poor sucker who doesn't do his online research? Bull

Take a look at Elite Offroad. Timicha made one of these for me and it is rock solid. And has the added bonus that I did not have to put up with any Sh!t to get it!

You know another problem I've noticed with those guys is their lack of quality parts available for Toyota's. It seems like they sell a lot of "crap". When it comes to wheels and tires they have some awesome deals! ...But so does Les Schwab on the holidays, plus with Les Schwab your going to get free tire rotaions, free flat repair and free balancing for the life of your tires. You don't get squat from 4wheelparts! Plus i get SO MUCH junk mail from them now too. Anyway i'll step off the soapbox

I get all that free stuff from Schwabs even though I didn't buy my tires there :spy:
