I wonder if Cha's going to get snowed on tomorrow night?

 

Yeah I am prepared for the snow if it comes. When you have camped at 9,000ft in the low 20's, you don't take mother nature lightly. I Will report back with trail conditions and pictures. Everyone have a great memorial weekend. Also thank a Vet this weekend, without them we would not have this great country to explore and share with our families.

Yeah, they're calling for snow down to 3500 ft. Damn, I'm almost out of "seasoned" firewood (except for all the stacked, wet stuff that came from all the downed trees in our neighborhood in Nov). I already have my permits and we're supposed to be heading over to a friends Monday to cut some trees he's having felled. I really, really don't want to buy any when I'll probably be cutting over 3 cords worth for next year. Winter's been going on now for over 6 months! Didn't anyone tell them upstairs that winter is only supposed to be 1/4 of the year?

I can't wait man. Almost June an still expecting snow. Lol mother nature is a lovely woman

 

I may miss this because I might be going to wyoming for a graduation. Its not for sure though

I was watching the news and they said the flakes will get bigger closer to the 4th

 

I think you misunderstood. They said the flakes will increase closer to the 4th.

 

Hey guys I scouted the trail with help from some random wheelers I came across and I believe it is doable. But its is going to be challenging and very slow going. There are patches of snow that vary in height and distance. I only got high centered once and needed winching but got farther than I thought I could. I did not get through the whole trail though because the group that I was with decided to turn around because one of their rigs ran into power steering problems. I do think it will be doable by this coming weekend, but that is my opinion. As I left saturday night there was fresh snow falling but I don't think the fresh snow will affect the trail too much.
