I am a new member. I just got my first Toyota. Previous trucks - 99 Dodge Dakota, 02 Silverado Z71, 04 Silverado Z71. Unfortunately, I noticed the truck pulls to the right as I drove it home from the dealership. I plan on taking it back next weekend to check the alignment. Hopefully, they can fix it.

+1. They told me that sometimes, when they're on the transport trucks, they tighten down the straps (or whatever they use) too much and it alters the alignment a bit. Had mine redone and it's fine. Might be bullshit, but kinda makes sense...

    It does make sense....

But what doesn't make sense - is why the dealerships don't check the allignment before they sell the truck. Don't they have some sort of 1000000 point checklist (laugh- whatever number they use I have no idea) they go over the trucks before they sell them?

That checklist is completely superficial crap...

    1. Check that first key works
    2. Check that second key works
    3. Check that has four tires
    4. Check that it has a windsheild
    etc...

Thanks for the info. I also read a thread on this issue - tons of great info here. I going to the dealership on Friday to request the following:

I would like all 4 tires "road force" balanced, any out-of-round tires replaced, and an alignment done to achieve the optimal alignment settings for my tire size.

Does this sound correct and should I request anything else?
