Ya, I was gonna say its total BS. The rumour was that Toronto had talked to them, but Im 100% sure it wasnt true.
1- Brian Burke wont get a player who has a contract over 5 year, and said so 100 times
2- Why would they trade a great player they just signed for a great cap hit, and is only 26
3- Toronto needs a left handed playmaking center, not a right handed shooting one.
