    Just did this, works great. I would recomend every body to do this. Sadly though, I tried to do this to my girlfriends subaru and the filter was not gonna work here. So $20 for a new one for her. Any way, thanks for the amazing mod.

    This was a GREAT idea !!!! I did some slight modification to it... I did not use the Frame... I doubled up the media and used the grills provided by the manufacturer... I used some dental floss to stitch the layers and grills together ( so they would remain intact during installation and removal) By doing this and not using the frame no Modifications were needed to the blower housing .....

    I purchase the same adjustable/Washable filter you used but it would not fit into the " blower housing" with the frame on .... In your photos of the "blower housing" you had some red circled areas .... these were the spots that frame was to big to slide past .... I thought you might have trimmed these areas to make it fit .... but maybe I was wrong.... how did you get the frame to fit into the "blower housing" ? ( not sure if that is the right term)

    It's good. I wondered why you were thinking it had to be modded. Yeah, no way it would fit with the big sides.
