Yeah a transfer, we wanted to get back up here and luckily got it. Verdict is in Oregon City.

The CG Station for another 18 months, then it's back to school.

Not sure, getting rock sliders for sure in July as soon as my truck gets in. I gotta buy a car and find out how much I'm going to get ripped off on rent there in Hillsboro before I can order bumpers I'm adding a winch when I do the front too so that's gonna cost a couple pennies. Probably just going to do the front end in august then do the back later (Christmas list) :D

Well the 4Runner has a slight oil leak from the back of the engine. I'm hoping it's my valve cover but i haven't had a chance to look yet.

I guess my first engine swap can't go 100% perfect :(

Hopefully it's not your rear main seal. Those things like to leak a lot on those engines and have a habit going bad within just a couple miles.

That's my suspicion too. I'm just HOPING it's the valve cover. But thinking back on it, the gasket for the main seal (not the seal itself, the gasket that contacts the block for the frame that holds the seal) was a pretty weak ass piece.

Luckily now that I've done it, I could have that engine in and out in a solid Saturday. It just sucks I have to do it. And I don't want to pull the tranny. That doesn't sound any easier when then you have to work on the main seal/clutch/flywheel from UNDER the truck

Yeah, already saw that. I know what needs to be done.

I think it's funny those guys are like "Hmm... maybe its my input shaft seal on the tranny". If you can't tell the difference in color/feel/smell between motor oil and gear oil you shouldn't be working on your truck

    Comforting! Haha.

I had forgotten how bad gear oil smells until I checked my tranny level and diff fluid levels the other day. You should DEFINITELY be able to tell when your tranny is leaking. Yuck
