Yeah, I wanted to see how it does with stock gears, my 32's, and a blower before regearing.

Ideally, I'll keep it at 4.10 until the truck is no longer my DD... at which point it would have 33's or bigger and a regear in its future :D

LOL! What I meant is that to get 300+ rwhp, I suspect you'll have to do more than just bolt on Gadget's stage 1 kit, and I think these guys are unrealistic in what they're expecting.

judging off what gadget's other kits produced, i wouldnt be surprised if the stage I kit added 100 horses, i mean look at his stock 4runner(other than s/c), just 8 psi and it makes 150 MORE HP than stock and thats all he has done is the s/c kit, he's got a thread around here somewhere with all the details that i was checking out, his shit is pretty amazing, i am impressed to say the least, and im sure we will all be impressed with the results of this kit!!!!!

Well, two things: 1) The V6 kits start out with more power to begin with and 2) adding 100 horses means ~ 220hp, which is within what I would consider reason, so I agree. I'm just saying I think 300, 400+ is a pipe dream without serious further modification.

*shrug* who knows? :D He did do some pretty impressive stuff with the stage 3 for the v6, but there ain't no replacement for displacement...

Either way, I'll probably be satisfied with whatever this kit has out of the box; I just want to get the truck out of its own way and keep it reliable.

We should probably stop guessing on hp/tq #'s and just wait for him to get us a dyno! :bananadance:

I get what your saying. I get that on stock parts theres only so much power you can pull sticking to a bolt on setup. I still hope theres a stage 2 and 3 kit for people that want to spank v6's lol

There is plenty of expansion built into the base system. We are using the same intercooler that we use on the V6 kits that we have pushed well over 500 crank HP.

The bracket and belt drive will accept any of the C30 or C38 superchargers. So, if you build the engine and sufficiently beef up the fuel system and engine management you can run even the largest C38-91 supercharger if you want.

im willing to bet that under normal driving conditions that fuel economy will stay roughly the same, its only going to be under boost will you see a drop in fuel economy. highway could very well improve slightly

Makes me wonder if the stock engine is fuel starved at high RPMs too.

Thank you for doing this and updating the thread. Looking forward to further updates and details.

No need to worry about that man. There's no boost. If anyone is selling cars these days that starve for fuel off the show room during constant WOT there would be serious manufacturer's lawsuits. On that note ill be flashing my chip next week so ill let you know if it does just in case :D
