Hey all I have always been a fan of train air horns, and am now considdering installing one on my truck. Since there are soo many out there, and it is hard to tell truely how loud and quality they really are online, I was hoping that some of y'all could shed some light on either what you have or have dealt with in the past. I would really like to stay under 300$ if possible and loud enough to get that guy back who just cut you off. also I am not very knowledgeable with wiring. Is it possible to wire it so I works instead of the stock horn? I'm looking forward to hearing what y'all think. Thanks - mike-

Just so you're aware, there are laws that deal with horns on vehicles. Not that it wouldn't be cool but don't be surprised if you get cited.

I have heard one in person, although I don't know what model it was.
Even when I was expecting the blast, I nearly crapped myself.

Yes, they can be wired in place of your stock horn, but personally, I'd want to retain the option of using the stock one as well and have a separate button for the train horn (or use the wheel for the train horn so it's fast in a panic, but use a button on the dash for the stock horn).
