Anyone with intermittent wiper issues?

I have noticed a couple times now my intermittent wiper setting is not intermittent.....the three pause settings are the same intervals and the same as pulling the lever to the second faster setting....any thoughts?

BTW:: Its a 2009 TRD Sport DC if it makes a diffenence.

 

yeah!Toyota doesn't have intermittent wipers,all they have is mist,medium fast.the real intermittint wipers have speed setting,but I was told that there is a kit you can install.

My intermittent wiper problems are different than yours.....

Starting about 2 years ago, every now and then my intermittent wiper setting would just not work at all. If I put try to use the intermittent setting, it's just like putting it on low speed. Weird.... Doesn't do it every time, and it comes and goes.... Haven't been able to put together any logic about what might be causing it. And of course I was never able to recreate the problem while it was still under warranty.

The only thing I have have noticed is it only does this when it's raining......

 

It does have intermittint wipers, there are three additional speed controls.

 

Mine is still under warrenty....it is the same problem, exactly....mmm anyone else?

 

It's only happened to me once and iirc I had two low constant low speeds. Hasn't done it since.

 

The SR5's come with interrmittent wipers and mine works like normal...

 

My problem is that rain keeps getting on my windshield in between wipes. I was thinking of seeing my mechanic.

 

Mine keep turning off and on by themselves. WTF?

 

my old f150 intermittent wipers would only work when I was in 4X4. not really relevant to OP question but thought that was funny

 

Not to get far off topic as well, but you reminded me of my VW SuperBeadle.
My defroster didn't work, like many, and I had to scrape the sleet off the window with a scraper while I drove down the highway one time because it was turning to ice instantly when it hit the windshield.

I have a 2012 TRD OR and have the same problem. When they are set to intermitent sometimes the will make two or three consecutive wipes. I took it to the dealer but they can't do anything unless it's happening at the moment.

Also, I started having problems with my AC not turning on, but also, it's intermitent and does not seem to happen when I take it to the dealer. It may or may not be related to the wiper problem.

Something is definitely wrong electrically. I'm guessing it may be a bad wire(s)...maybe damaged coming through the bulkhead....it's the only common point between the two systems.
