Denver LED gauge swaps...

im leaving at 3am tomorrow/tonight (whatever you want to call it!) for denver...so my plans are to be driving 16hrs to denver....sorry dude.

also, i will be changing the title of this thread to "Denver LED gauge swaps" in the coming days...so anyone around there that want this done...hit me up!

Any chance of changing that plastic film? If not you can change everything else but that, then you are stuck with the orange HVAC lights after all said and done?

 

nope, again its sandwiched in between. others may say otherwise, but the only other color i know you can change it to is red.

 

Does anyone have a 2011 trd sport with the white gauges in the dash that they modified with different color led lights? If so I would love to see them. I am having trouble picturing what they would look like in different colors. Therefore I am having trouble picking one or the other to go with. I assume the red lights will be turned pink if I use them but again I could be wrong. Please post some pics if you have this mod.

sean, are those oem red needles?

After looking at some of the other clusters I'm now pondering between red, blue or white needles to go with to go with the blue led's. Anyone else do this or have some pics of this?

 

sorry dude, i just got out here to denver...im gonna stay awhile! you can ship whatever you want done to me and i can have it out same day if early am delivery or next day...as long as im not out at work.

pm if you wanna work something out, i have done a lot of gauges and a few radios via shipment.

 

i would suggest against blue needles as well, as it might get lost in the blue of the rest of the gauge. also, something to consider, whenever i change the needle color, i paint the backside of the needle white so that it will show up when lit.

personally, i really like and always suggest staying w/ the OEM needle color. i think it looks the best and will always stand out.

 

^^The picture of that truck up there is mine. Jerez did them last week and did an amazing job!!! That picture does no justice as to how bright they really are or how good they really look. They are amazing

 

Yes, Jerez did not change out the leds for the needles. Those are stock with blue leds for the gauges, trun signals, and shifter.

 

Sorry man I realized it after I posted it. Jerez? is that yosh's work I assume? Looks great! I guess I'll be sending him some work soon.
