Hey everybody just checking in here. About a year ago I started research for a new car and in the end it came down to a Mazdaspeed3, Mazda3, and Tacoma TRD Sport double cab short bed.
I made a wrong decision and couldn't get a Mazdaspeed3, nor could I get a Tacoma for some weird reason that I don't even remember at the time. I wound up getting a 2008.5 Mazda3 Grand Touring and still have it currently. (about 6 months and counting)
I've slightly modified it but didn't have money for performance mods (which it needs for power that it lacks).

Anyways, 6-7 months running now and I realize I bought the WRONG car. There is no way in hell you can go from driving a 2005 Expedition with a 5.4L V8 cranking something like 300HP and 365TQ to an I4 cranking around 156HP and 150TQ...it's just not possible.
So I'm hoping that everything works out and I can sell it for a good amount to get a TRD Sport double cab short bed in Speedway Blue like I've always wanted. (aside from a black MS3 that I almost got)

I'll be lurking around here for a while, posting and learning about the fun I could have been having. Keep in mind I like my car, it's a very nice car and very fun to drive, it's just not the right car for me.
Just wanted to introduce myself and let you know here's another member coming from a big SUV to a small car and hopefully back to the big guns.

Here's my short mod list that's not too fun: Tinted Windows | Clear Coating | Mazdaspeed3 Sill Plates | Simota High-Flow Air Filter | Heated, Anti-Glare, Wide-Angle Mirrors | Rear Bumper Step Plates | Custom Made Dead Pedal
    Here's what I had planned:
LED's throughout | Mazdaspeed CAI | Mazdaspeed Cat-back Exhaust | Buddyclub Condenser Kit | Hoen H-11 Xenon-match Fog bulbs | Candied gloss black painted brake calipers | Someday...Turbolicious
Hopefully you guys have as much fun as the Mazda guys on the Mazda forums.

I've heard, sadly I've never driven one but every time I see one I just want it. I doubt these are slow especially since they have a better TQ/lb ratio than the Expedition and I just love them. I never say that about trucks but these and the '09 F-150's are perfect.

    But wait! I have more...
edit: you guys get to see the Exped too...what a treat ;)
