how do i improve gas mileage

    i have a 05 v6 prerunner and i get 15.88 mpg. what can i do to improve this?

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Drive slower, make sure the engine has fresh spark plugs that are propperly gapped, and clean air filter.

    i dont drive crazy but it just seems like my truck is slowing in performance. well im gona do my change my oil and air filter but i was wondering what else. i guess i can change the spark plugs.

    Worn plugs can make a - 2 mpg difference.

    I run mine at 45 also..
    Last tank was a little over 19 mpg.

    Biggest factor though is to keep your foot out of it.

    I do lot's of highway miles. If I set cruise at 65 it may take me 20 minutes longer to get there (on a 2 hr drive.) but I use a lot less gas..
