    x2. I've seen the Taco 1/4" front skids take immense amounts of punishment and laugh. You'd probably damage your frame before being able to do any serious damage through quarter-inch plate.

    Fire931- Would you be interested in building a bumper very similar to the 2nd gens, but on a 1st gen? One day I am going to get a better rear bumper and was just trying to gauge how much it would cost me and how much longer i need to save. Thanks for the help.

    Nah I didn't get that, I didn't really want to pay for something that I'll probably never use, even though the price difference would have been very minor compared to the total price. haha

    I have a little dilemma now though. I haven't gotten a full size spare to throw on the tire carrier, but when I do get around to doing it, the tire will be blocking the reverse camera's view completely, as it sits in the tail gate latch.

    Any ideas as to where or how I could remove it from there and relocate it to a better place?

    Pop N Lock PL5300 relocates the camera to the other side of the handle. Best to measure first and make sure it will clear there before you spend the money...and you'll still probably lose some peripheral vision on the camera.

    Also, the PL5300 is not the same quality as the OEM handle, but it's "good enough".

    Just one option.
