First off, happy Memorial Day! Is there anyone else besides me who is "celebrating" by going to work today? [IMG]

   ....awesome!

Go to outbacktoilets.com, just so happens to be the same company who also sells offroad lights for jeeps and yotas.

I've just got to say that I don't think I've ever seen such a large outpouring of care and concern over a person's lavatory needs...Lisa, you must feel truly touched and loved over the support that everyone has for your bowels!

So, all kidding aside...with the current locations being super soggy and Lisa's aversion to using the potty outdoors, what are our options? Do I need to make a reservation at a particular FS Campground? I'd just hate to drive all that way and then arrive with no idea of where I'm going to stay (hey, that rhymes :)).

    OK...Camping sites...

I think the best bet to find a site will be in the Bernice area. Like I said earlier today, I used to camp there as a kid and there are a few FS campgrounds as well as dispersed camp sites inbetween. Somewhere between the two X's on the map below....

For those of you coming from the west you have two options for routes. The first will take you from I-90 to Hwy 12 through Helena and then south on I-15, the other will take you on I-90 all the way to Butte where you will catch I-15 north. I'm not sure which would be faster/easier...going to Butte keeps you on the interstate the whole way where the other route is 2-lane highway and then you have to go through Helena so possible traffic issues there.

Option 1 - Take I-90 east to Garrison, exit at mm 174 and get on Hwy 12 east. Follow Hwy 12 for approx 45 miles to Helena. Hwy 12 turns into Euclid Ave and then into Lyndale Ave. At the intersection of Lyndale and North Montana Ave take a right On N. MT and follow that to 11th Ave (one way), take a left there and stay in the left lane. 11th will bring you to I-15 interchange; head south on I-15 to exit 151. At exit 151 head west on the dirt road approx. 6 miles to the camps.
*I believe that the route through Helena is a marked 'truck route' so watch for the signs.

Option 2 - Take I-90 to Butte, take exit 227 and you'll swing up north on I-15. Follow I-15 to exit 151. At exit 151 head west on the dirt road approx. 6 miles to the camps.

 That route is just a bit shorter in both time and distance. I would highly recommend topping off your gas tank in Butte or Rocker (just west of Butte)

So are you coming? Or still undecided?

Those coming from the west could stop at my place near Butte... I think that I'll have to go to the rents place to get my tent etc
