I don't post here too often though I love this place as a resource. I figured since I am selling my used Go Rhino Rack so I ought to let the group here know as well in case anyone wants it.

I bought this rack in 2008 and it has served me very well. Manufacturer says it is rated to 500lbs. I've been standing on top and jumped on it and it never budged or felt unstable. Great for heavy duty hauling. I used it for big kayak loads off road, but it would work great for lumber, ladders, or other contractor work.

The rack is cab high and designed to work with the lines of the truck. It gets lot of compliments for its looks and is super stable.

The rack is made of a combination of rolled steel cross members and some curved tube on the corners, so its a bit lighter than some other racks that are tubing only. I don't have a weight on it (sorry). This rack is made specifically to fit the bed of a 2nd generation four door very short bed (60 inch long) fleet side Tacoma. It will fit any 2005+ 60 inch bed fleet side, but it will (obviously) run a foot short of the total bed length on the longer bed models. The rack feet sit on top of the existing bed rail caps and the whole thing is held into place with brackets that bolt right into the side rail system. You can still use the OEM rail cleats with the rack installed. The side bars are (re)movable.

It could use a little bit of sanding and spray paint work here and there. The paint has started to ware a bit in places, particularly around the mounting feet (see pictures), but its just cosmetic an could easily be cleaned up with a little sanding and paint work.

I am asking $450 for the rack without the bolt-on Yakima bars seen in the pictures. I will throw those into the deal for an extra $70.

Looking to sell local right now in the Capitol (i.e. Washington DC) area for cash as shipping would cost a bundle.

Hopefully this photo thing works; first time on this for me.

Thanks. Its served me very well. I wouldn't be selling it except for the fact that my situation has changed and I am going with a cap.

Well I am sure it would work on the longer bed. I am betting it wouldn't look quite as slick though with an extra 6 inches on each end. Kinda more like a pair of hoops as opposed to a full rack system designed to fit exactly on the truck. There's already a few inches on each end. You can see it a bit better on this pic. I am sure it would work though.

Right now I don't have any plans to travel north anytime soon, but if that changes before I sell this I will let you know. I do sometimes make it up towards NYC area which is not that far from you.

I wish you did too. Maybe you can borrow some for a couple of your best friends who will doubtlessly be wanting to take your truck every time you go for a trip (trust me that is how it works).:)
Richmond is nice and close it would be easy to make the exchange.

That thing is pretty sick! looks like it could convert into a capper in a matter of minutes with a tarp or something like that.

Yeah. I never did anything too fancy like that. I can confirm that a simple blue tarp will some ground stakes will work OK though. I talked with a sail maker and he said he could do a slick looking custom fitted heavy canvas cover that would snap over it tight (think custom canback) for ~$300. GF wanted a full on hard shell though.

    Thanks.

Ah its $500 if you want to buy part of the rack new. That link is for the hoop kit only. In other words half a rack. You need to buy four of the bed length bars as well if you want to make that work. Or at least two, but mine comes with four. Those are priced on the same site you linked at just under $300 a pair. $282.14 to be exact.

    http://www.4wheelparts.com/Exterior...3&t_s=120&t_pt=4183&t_pl=8982&t_pn=ORP8550041

So if you want the setup I have (4 bars and two hoops) you are looking at over a grand before shipping.

The hoops alone would might suffice as a roll kit or something, but its not exactly the same thing as the full rack.
