I'm thinking about buying some american outlaw rims with master craft at's. What is the bolt pattern of an 08 4 door 2wd tacoma? i checked the diagram in the wheels and tire forum but didn't see specifics for my truck. Can anyone shed some info on this? thanks.

alright thanks. I thought it was 6 on 5.5. Just wanted to see the 139.7. The guy i would be buying from said they came off a chevy but would fit a tacoma. I believe he is right but dont want to risk it too much.

Nope he is wrong. Chevys have a much smaller hub bore. If the wheels are chevy-specific then you would need to get the hub bore enlarged in order for them to fit your Tacoma.

Yeah like you said the bolt pattern is fine. But the hub bores are definitely different. Toyota-specific rims will fit on Chevys, but not visa versa. I would ask him to measure the hub bore on the rims. You need at least 106mm. Chevy hubs are somewhere around 78mm IIRC.

You're also going to want to know what the backspacing of the rims is. You'll want between 4.5" and 5.5" for those 265's.

If he doesn't know it you can calculate it from the rim width and offset, both of which should be stamped on the back of the rim.

the 4.5- 5.5 was about the only thing i knew. And i asked but he didnt know the back spacing so i guess i will be trying to calculate. but if the hub bore is off it doesnt matter either way because they wont fit.

i just talked to the guy and he said the rims came with a spacer he put on that let it fit the chevy hub. so i could take that out because of the bigger tacoma hub. Is that legit/normal?

yeah, I had a sigh or relief when he said there were spacers to fit. he is going to text me the numbers off the back the rims tonight when he gets home so that is the last part up in the air. I'm going to try to get the package for $500 maybe $600 tops. I think that would be a good deal. Whats your opinion?

KTP, the guy sent me a picture of the numbers on my phone, but I can't post it here. Its pretty hard to see but it think it reads:
    6F481
46X63 ? Its really tough to see. Do those numbers make any sense?

No the stamping I'm talking about should read something like:

    "18x9JJ ET-12"

That would mean the wheel is 18" in diameter, 9" wide, with a -12mm offset (which would be 4.5" backspacing in this example)

Alright I just got on the American Outlaw/Liquid Metal (same company) website.

Those wheels are called the "Buckshot", and it appears there is only one chrome Buckshot wheel that is both the 6x139.7 bolt pattern and is also a 16x8 (which the stamping showed). That wheel has a -6mm offset, and is model #100-6883C.

-6mm offset on a 8" wide wheel is 4.25" backspacing. Therefore, they should fit with those tires on your tacoma, without rubbing (maybe minor rubbing on the mudflaps but I wouldn't expect them to).

That model # also shows a 106.25 mm hub bore, so you're good to go there too.

    http://www.liquidmetalwheel.com/wheel.cfm?id=479

Now the only thing is that some brands of 16's rub the brake calliper on Tacomas. I would ask him if you can just bolt one up to check before you give him the cash.
